The animal overpopulation epidemic that the City of Amarillo experiences is absolutely a community problem. We must all work together to help these deserving animals.
This program helps to cover the costs of adoptions. If you see an animal that you fall in love with but can’t adopt it. Then why not cover the cost of the adoption for someone that can give it home? This fund is also utilized for Mega Adoption Events. If you are really wanting to make a massive positive impact then maybe sponsoring a Mega Adoption Event is right up your alley.
General Operating Fund
This is the fund that allows the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society to exist and operate for the betterment of animals in our community.
Injured Animal Fund
This is the fund that allows the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society to cover extraordinary medical expense of deserving animals that could otherwise not be saved due to normal budgetary constraints.
No Balls For Baxter
This program assists with covering the costs of spaying and neutering of animals that are owned but those owners cannot cover the cost of the surgery. It is statistically impossible to adopt our way out of animal overpopulation. Best way to prevent the unwanted animals from entering the facility is to prevent them from being born.
Operation Serenity was created to help veterans of the United States Military with various medical issues that their personal animal(s) may experience but the veteran may not be able to financially cover the cost of the medical issue.
The City of Amarillo: Animal Management & Welfare is able to accept monetary donations. They will not be placed in the General Operating Fund but will be isolated and protect for use at the specific time the donor requests.
