Why should we prepare for our animals in the event of an emergency?
Emergencies can be big or small and can come in all forms, from a single house fire to a devastating flood or tornado. A responsible animal owner should be prepared to act and take care of their own animals when these emergencies occur. Owners should never solely rely on local resources, such as the animal shelter or rescues, to take care of their animals. Most animal shelter’s resources are already stretched too thin to be able to help. If an emergency is large enough most likely all of the local resources and responders will be impacted and unable to assist anyway.
In the following pages the information can be found to help you get on the path to being prepared for a any emergency, big or small.
