The city does not offer vet services for privately owned pets. Please search the internet for information on free or affordable clinics in your area.

Visit the shelter during normal business hours, walk-ins are welcome, and no appointment is needed. The fee is $10.00 per animal. For more information about microchipping at the shelter, click here.

No, the only records kept are the animals that come through the facility.

Requesting euthanasia does not require an appointment. Residents can come to the facility between the hours of 10:00 am – 4:30 pm, Tuesday-Friday. Please be mindful that owners are not able to accompany the animal during the procedure. The fee for this service is $25 per animal.

Please note, deceased livestock must be taken to the city landfill. All other deceased animals must be bagged and placed in a city dumpster or placed in the shelter's depository box located at the front north end of the shelter at 3501 S Osage.
