Lost and Found Tips
Quick action and utilizing these resources can significantly increase the chances of being reunited with your furry friend.
Online Resources
- Check Facebook's lost and found pages; post your pet's information.
- Reach out to local rescues for assistance.
Useful Websites
Explore dedicated platforms like "Pawboost" or "lostmydoggie" for additional support in finding your pet.
Microchip Check
- Find the microchip brand's online registry.
- Enter your dog's microchip ID to track it.
Note: Some microchips only allow scanning by the person who finds the dog, and not all brands offer online tracking.
Have the animal scanned for a Microchip! Most vet clinics will scan a microchip for you or AM&W can too!
No Microchip?
- Use lost and found websites in your local area to make advertisements of a found animal.
- Look online on Facebook for lost and found pages and post the found animal!
Every animal brought to the shelter is photographed and promptly uploaded to our regularly updated website.
