Shelter Surrenders

The shelter only accepts owner surrenders and strays from inside Amarillo's city limits.

Appointments are required to surrender a pet. 

If you arrive to the shelter without an appointment, staff will try to accommodate you on a first-come, first-served basis, but there's a chance the next appointment might be scheduled for another day.

Surrender Fees

$25 - Animals 4 months and older

$10 - Animals 8 weeks to 4 months
