What is a Pet Microchip?

A pet microchip is a tiny implant placed under your pet's skin, holding a unique identification number. Veterinarians, animal rescues, and other locations can scan this number to identify your pet. It's a hassle-free solution that lasts a lifetime, requiring no batteries.

AM&W Microchip Services

AM&W implants microchips for pet owners for a $10 per pet fee and it is mandatory for every animal leaving the facility to have one.

AM&W scans every animal that enters the shelter in order to determine if it has an owner. If a microchip is found, the contact information on the microchip will be used to contact the owner.

If you find a lost pet, bring them to the shelter or a veterinary office for a microchip scan.

Remember to update your contact information and home address with the microchip company as needed!
